Upper India Smelting & Refinery Works producing the (French process) Zinc Oxide. French Process zinc oxide is a white, odorless’ powder possessing high brightness, a high refractive index and a relatively fine particle size. 1. Zinc Oxide *9.7%, *9.5%, *9.0% & *7.0 % Grade UI-I (*9.7%): This Grade is used extensively for Ferrites, Cosmetics, Plastics, pigment, ointment pigment and ceramics; floor tile; glass; Chemicals such as zinc salts (zinc stearate etc.) feed additive; electronic devices; electronic ceramics, raw material to produce zinc phosphate as steel coating. Grade UI-II (*9.5%); It is widely used in the rubber industry especially the tire industry. This grade is also widely applicable for ceramics, Paints, Lubricant & greases. Grade UI – III (*9.0%): This grade is also applicable for Rubber industries specially Rubber gloves, Rubber foot wears, & Rubber hose pipes, Car rubber mats, Rubber seals & many other Domestic & Industrial rubber products. Grade UI – IV (*7.0%): This grade is used in animal feeds & in agriculture requirements.
